A note about changes in the Permacel product line
In 2005 the rights to manufacture Permacel tape products in their Arts & Entertaiment division were sold to Shurtape, a tape manufacturer located in Hickory, NC. For the last two years, all Permacel 665 Gaffers Tape, Permacel Professional Grade Gaffers Tape, and Permacel 724 Paper Label Tape has been manufactured by Shurtape, even though they are sold under the Permacel name.
Effective spring 2007, Shurtape is retiring the Permacel name for these products. 665 Gaffers Tape, Professional Grade Gaffers Tape, and Permacel 724 Paper Label Tape will be sold under the Shurtape brand. Colors in the 665 Gaffers Tape line have been discontinued and this product will now only be offered in black, white and grey.
These tape products, long considered the best quality on the market, will continue to be made to the same high standards and adhesive formulas as when they carried the Permacel brand name . They will still ship in the familiar red and white box. While still called 665 Gaffers Tape, Professional Grade Gaffers Tape and 724 Paper Label Tape, they will no longer be sold under the Permacel name.
